The Unidryer Series

Heywood Industrial is constantly developing and innovating within the field of dryer technology, multiple projects are currently in development.

IR100 - IR530 range

Automated Industrial Infrared drying units for non-flammable water-based coatings.

Custom infrared wavelength (HI-IR) for optimum curing and evaporation of water-based finishes.

Optimised for Rubio Monocoat Wood Cream.

Optimum curing of pigmented finishes, wavelength selection mitigates surface damage to the coating.

Significantly increased drying efficiency vs convection drying, 500-1000% in some cases.

Significant space and capital savings vs convection and Gas Catalytic IR systems.

Even distribution of temperature throughout the coating, Our IR units have densely spaced coils that deliver high-density infrared heat for the fastest possible cure time without cold areas or the undercuring issues found in traditional units.

Only supplier in the industry to provide 15-year warranty on all infrared emitters.

Full compatibility between your coating of choice and our drying systems is always established as part of the purchasing process.

IR530 Series

IR530

30-inch belt width `{`76.2cm`}` (Effective curing zone 24 inches/60.96cm)

IR530 Ultra-Wide

54-inch belt width `{`137.16cm`}` (Effective curing zone 48 inch/121.92cm)

Standard features of the range:
  • Most powerful units in our range
  • Dual chamber curing unit 2x137cm long infrared emitter array
  • Includes 4 infrared heaters per 137cm long chamber, featuring a high-powered pre-heating zone that surges coating temperatures past 300°F (149°C) within the first several inches/centimetres of conveyor travel, maximizing dwell time at optimum curing temperatures and, in turn, conveyor belt speeds and dryer output.
  • Side mounted emitters allow for optimum curing of timber coated on all 3 sides and also for an increased effective curing zone.
  • Air intake fans located below the roof of the enclosure quietly draw ‘make-up’ air into the chamber’s double-walled shell through filtered inlets along opposite exterior sides at rates up to 560 cfm (15.6 m3/min), serving to cool the outer shell for safety, while preheating the incoming air.
  • An exhaust fan located below the centre of the conveyor belt draws the preheated air downward at rates up to 900 cfm (25.5 m3/min), over the timber and through the belt, removing heat, moisture and contaminants from the chamber.
  • Operators are made aware of blocked exhaust lines, clogged filters, or failing blowers by exhaust flow sensors with warning lights. A light tower to monitor the status of the dryer and a “cool down mode” for shutting down the appliance are also additional safety features.
  • Temperature controller accurate to +/-0.5°C, allowing fine-tuning and replicable drying results.
  • Infrared Focusing System allows 10.16-17.7 cm belt-to-heater height adjustment for increased curing flexibility.
  • Heavy duty motor upgrade (SHD) for boosted line speed and working efficiency.
  • Tightened/strengthened Kevlar Belt (higher heat resistance)
